Meek Mill is out of jail and trusting the process!

The 30-year-old rapper was released from a state correctional institution in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, after serving five months for violating probation on a nearly decade-old gun and drug case. Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael G. Rubin picked Mill up following his release, and the rapper was back in Philly in time to ring the Liberty Bell before the Sixers playoff game against the Miami Heat.

Mill donned a Joel Embiid jersey for the ceremonial honor, and was joined by Rubin and pal Kevin Hart at center court as the crowd cheered him on with a standing ovation and the PA announcer welcomed him home.

Later, the famous friends sat courtside to take in the game. Philly currently leads the first-round series with the Heat three games to one.

The 76ers organization also shared pics of the rapper meeting with players and personnel prior to the game, just hours after his release from prison.

The “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper tweeted about his time behind bars on Tuesday, thanking “God, my family, and all my public advocates for their love, support and encouragement during this difficult time.”

“While the past five months have been a nightmare, the prayers, visits, calls, letters and rallies have helped me stay positive,” he continued. Mill received public support from famous friends and fans in the music community throughout his incarceration, including JAY-Z and Beyonce, who made the call to “Free Meek” in their latest collab with DJ Khaled, “Top Off.

“To the Philly District Attorney’s office, I’m grateful for your commitment to justice. I understand that many people of color across the country don’t have that luxury and I plan to use my platform to shine a light on those issues,” he also tweeted. “In the meantime, I plan to work closely with my legal team to overturn this unwarranted conviction and look forward to reuniting with my family and resuming my music career.”

Mill’s ex, Nicki Minaj, opened up about the rapper’s imprisonment in her infamous Beats 1 interview earlier this month.

“I wouldn’t wish jail on anybody,” Minaj said. “What made me shed tears the other day was seeing his mother cry.... She, during the relationship, was always so sweet to me.”
